What cultivation KPIs do you look at? πŸ“Š

A KPI is a quantifiable measure of performance over a specific period of time.

Here are my top 6 favorites that I think can really tell you the financial health of your cultivation operation.

1. Grams per sq ft of total sellable biomass per year.

2. Grams per sq ft of A buds per year.

3. Grams per watt per year.

4. Cost to produce 1 gram of flower per year. This can be based on direct COGs like inputs, labor and energy, but it’s also nice to include additional expenses, and OpEx cost, ie. payroll, marketing, lease, to get a more holistic picture.

5. Gross revenue from each cultivar per sq ft per year. This allows for good genetics selection based on what consumers are buying and at what price points.

6. And finally, average cannabinoid and terpene content of each cultivar per sq ft per year. This gives you an idea of the overall quality of your production, not just the yield.
